Varicose veins (vein insufficiency), which is a common disease, is a health problem that occurs as a result of the increase in blood pressure in the vein. This condition, which is a vascular disease, causes the veins near the skin surface to appear blue, wide and twisted. This discomfort, which usually occurs in the legs, can cause both cosmetic and functional complaints. It also significantly reduces the quality of daily life of the person. Today, thanks to non-surgical varicose vein treatment methods, it is possible to get rid of this health problem effectively, successfully and in a short time.
Non-Surgical Varicose Veins Treatment Methods
All kinds of vein insufficiency, except those in capillaries, should definitely be treated at an early stage. Because this disease progresses unless it is treated, it leads to an increase in pain and itching complaints. In addition, the formation of wounds in the problematic area is inevitable in the future. With the developing technology and developments in the medical field, it is possible to effectively and successfully end this disease thanks to non-surgical treatment methods. Non-surgical varicose vein treatment without severe pain or incision marks can be performed with laser, radio frequency, and foam and micro sclerotherapy methods.
Laser Treatment
Laser treatment under local anesthesia is a minimally invasive operation performed by entering the diseased vessel with an ultrasound-guided needle. A catheter is placed at the most appropriate point determined in the vein and a laser is applied through the vein. After this application, the patient can immediately get up and leave the clinic on foot. Laser treatment does not require any incisions. It can only be applied with local anesthesia. In addition, it is often preferred in terms of providing a comfortable healing process after the application.
In some vein insufficiencies, effective results cannot be obtained with sclerotherapy and foam treatment methods alone. In these patients, it is possible to provide a very effective treatment by applying Laser Ablation to the vessel that is the source of the leakage.
Radiofrequency Therapy
Radiofrequency, which is usually applied in one session, is a non-surgical varicose vein treatment method applied to thin and medium thickness capillaries. It is an effective and practical procedure applied directly to the vein through the skin under local anesthesia. Laser ablation and RF Ablation are two methods that are similarly successful. However, the advantage of laser ablation over RF Ablation is that if the application is required to the performance vessels with a smaller diameter, the treatment of all leaks can be easily done with the same laser with a single laser kit.
Foam Treatment
Foam application is a treatment method applied to capillaries and veins that expand 1-2 mm and above. Air and sclerosing agent are mixed to foam. This method takes its name from this mixture. The foam obtained in this treatment is injected into the damaged vessel by means of a very thin needle. Sclerotherapy method made with the FAFS technique I published in Clinical Radiology, one of the most important scientific journals of Europe, which I developed myself, in 2015, can be successfully treated in much larger vessels.
Micro Sclerotherapy
In this method of treatment, drugs are administered as foam or liquid to destroy the problematic vessel from the inside. Liquid (liquid) micro sclerotherapy, liquid drug from the ampoule is drawn into the injector and given to the vessels. Thus, this discomfort is eliminated instantly. In foam micro sclerotherapy, the liquid drug is mixed with 4 times more air and turned into foam. Then, this foam is injected into the problematic vessel with a thin needle. After this procedure, the red image in the veins is instantly eliminated. Micro sclerotherapy is carried out using drugs at the same rate for the treatment of more damaged vessels.
Non-Surgical Treatment Methods We Do Not Recommend:
Apart from the methods mentioned above, there are some non-surgical treatment methods that we do not recommend. At the beginning of the methods that we do not recommend and apply, the heat effect made with the bonding technique is not used. After these bonding treatments, the adhesive given into the vein cannot completely eliminate the damaged vein, the vein and the adhesive inside the body remains for many years. Of course, this situation carries serious risks in terms of health. It should not be forgotten that the most reliable methods of non-surgical treatment are those that completely eliminate the damaged vessel with the effect of heat.
All non-surgical varicose vein treatment methods that we recommend are procedures applied for the purpose of closing and canceling damaged vessels. Compared to other surgical treatments, these procedures are stated to provide at least 96% success. In short, compared to the old vein failure treatments, non-surgical methods are extremely safe applications that can obtain definite results without pain and pain.
